Le Parisien French Bakery Cafe has two locations in Fresno. We visited the one located at 7777 North Palm Avenue. Le Parisien is an upscale bakery where you can order in French if you are so inclined.

The menu contains both sweet and savory classics as well as coffee.

Breakfast Specials

You place your order at the counter, and the staff gives you a number for your table. They have inside seating and an outdoor patio. The day we were there it was raining, so the patio was not open.

Mocha

Crepe Bechamel (Chicken with Saracin bread) 

Saracin is farina-based crepe used for hearty fillings such as meaty cheese.  Dessert crepes are not Saracin but are made from a sweet butter-based batter with milk, flour, eggs, and sugar. 

The Parisian sandwich

The Parisian sandwich is ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo in choice of bread (croissant, French bread, or wheat bread). We ordered a Parisien sandwich on a croissant, which was nicely buttery and flaky. The sandwich comes with a side green salad with balsamic vinaigrette. 

Raspberry-Pistachio layer cake

The raspberry-pistachio layer cake was delicious with subtle raspberry and pistachio flavors.

Pain au chocolat

Chocolate Tower

The chocolate tower is chocolate cake (top + bottom) with chocolate ganache in the middle with cherry. It was excellent.
