The Mainstreet Cafe in Reedley is a traditional American restaurant with German and Mennonite specialties on the menu. Reedley is the location of the West Coast Mennonite Central Committee. The Committee office and the Mennonite Quilt Center are located on the same block of downtown Reedley as the Mainstreet Cafe.

The Mainstreet Cafe also has a bakery and food items for sale. The kitchen items include their German sausage, while the bakery will make traditional German Zwieback. They also sell homemade Pomegranate Jelly made in the Cafe.

We ordered one German dish described by a local as the Mennonite Platter: German Sausage and verenika. Verenika is the Mennonite version of perogies. They offer verenika either fried or steamed. We also ordered mashed potatoes with the traditional ham gravy on the potatoes, verenika, and beef with barley soup. The other entree we ordered was traditional liver and onions with a salad on the side.
