Jowli's Filipino Cuisine
Jowli's Filipino Cuisine
Jowli's Filipino Cusisne is a family owned restaurant and bakery located in northeast Fresno at 7058 North Cedar Avenue, just north of Herndon Avenue. They have a full line of Filipino food for eating in, take out, or catering. Four of us sampled a small part of the menu on our visit. Jowli's is open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Halo Halo |
Halo Halo is a popular Filipino dessert with a layer of shaved ice topped with various ingredients, including boiled sweet beans, coconut, sago (similar to tapioca), gulaman (agar jelly), tubers and fruit, and colorful ice cream. Jowli's version of Halo Halo serves sweetened condensed milk on the side to pour over the Halo Halo and a rolled cookie. The taste is sweet, with a variety of textures and colors.
The four dishes plus the halo halo came to $37.63 including tax.
