Wayside Noodles is a Vietnamese restaurant located at the rear of the Fig Garden Village Shopping Center behind Whole Foods in Fresno. Fig Garden Village is located at the corner of West Shaw Avenue and North Palm Avenue. Wayside Noodles is open seven days a week, 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The menu contains several Vietnamese appetizers including noodle buns and many rice paper rolls, beef Pho and other Vietnamese soups, various hot and cold noodles dishes, and Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches (a single-serving baguette filled with meat and crunchy vegetables). Beverages include a choice of fruity shakes (such as mango, coconut, and pineapple), plus soda, coffee, and teas.
Three of us ordered hot noodle dishes: Drunken Noodles, which came with a side order of miso soup; Hoanh Thanh, a pork wonton noodle soup; and Bo Bien, a seafood combo noodle soup. We also ordered an appetizer, Vietnamese spring rolls with tofu.
