Khmer Family Cafe

Khmer Family Cafe

The Khmer Family Cafe is a Cambodian restaurant located in southeast Fresno at 133 North Maple Avenue. We were there for lunch, and there was a steady stream of customers both eating in and taking out. There is no explanation of what the main dishes are for those unfamiliar with Cambodian food, but the woman who served us was happy to explain each dish and how to eat it. We never had Cambodian food so we were happy to get the descriptions.

Main Menu Board

Appetizer Menu
We ordered two appetizers and two main dishes. Stuffed Chicken wing and meatball on a stick were our starters, and Kuy Tiew and Loc Lac our main dishes.
Stuffed Chicken Wing
Chicken meat is chopped and seasoned and stuffed into a chicken wing with its bones removed. It was tasty and interesting to look at.

Meatball On A Stick
Seasoned fried meatballs on a skewer with dipping sauce.

Kuy Tiew
Kuy Tiew is a bowl of rice noodles topped with sprouts, egg, cucumber, and chicken.

Loc Lac
Loc Lac is seasoned beef with onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce, a true Cambodian staple.
