Murray Family Farms
Murray Family Farms in Bakersfield, California is a combination pick-your-own farm and farmer's market and restaurant. The restaurant includes "Cal Okie" specialties, particularly fry pies. What makes fry pies "Okie"? The buttermilk biscuit dough. The dough is stuffed with savory and sweet fillings (from peach to chicken pie), then fried in a skillet. Other "Okie" specialties include items like "Jelly Doughnut" fudge (quite good) and "Chow Chow," a tangy pickled relish made from fresh vegetables. Outside the markets sits a Tom Joad-style battered pick up truck.
Murray Family Farms also has an animal garden and special events such as "Easter at the Farm" and seasonal fests (e.g., Berry Fest, Cherry Fest). The website lets you know what is in season:

We bought one Baker Okie Pie (chicken pot pie) for $6.99 and one Sweet Fry Pie (peach) for $3.00. With tax, the total was $11.49.
Murray Family Farms store and gas station is open 24 hours a day. The farm is open for activities seven days a week (just like a farm), from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. with the last hayride leaving at 5:30.
