Westwoods BBQ is a large barbecue restaurant in north Fresno. It is located at 8042 N. Blackstone Avenue north of Nees Avenue. Westwoods BBQ has menus for lunch, dinner, and happy hour. Two of us arrived there at noon for lunch on a weekend, and there was a short wait to be seated. When you arrive, you can smell the delicious smoke from the kitchen. We ordered a BBQ shrimp plate, and a combo plate called the beast because it included a beef rib. The restaurant also serves barbecue pork, beef, and chicken; sandwiches; and salads.

Westwoods BBQ opens every day at 11:00 a.m. and closes at 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday; at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday; and at 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
