Our COVID-19 food truck adventure continues this week with La Jacka Mobile, a food truck and food tent specializing in vegan Mexican food made from jack fruit.
The menu contains the usual Mexican-American items including tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, tortas, and bowls, but with a twist. All the proteins are made from jack fruit. The protein choices are asada jack, carnitas jack, pastor jack, and chile verde jack.
There were four of us to feed, so we ordered most of the menu. We ordered a quesadilla with carnitas jack, loaded nachos with asada jack, two of each taco (asada jack, carnitas jack, pastor jack, and chile verde jack,) and a chile verde burrito.
The total came to $62.83 including tax.
La Jacka Mobile can be found at the usual food truck venues in the Fresno area. They post their location on Facebook and Instagram.
