Senor Aji Peruvian Bistro

Senor Aji Peruvian Bistro
Senor Aji Peruvian Bistro is a family owned Peruvian Restaurant serving lunch and dinner in northwest Fresno at 6701 North Milburn Avenue. The menu features classic Peruvian dishes such as empanadas, yucca, fried seafood, and anticuchos (grilled marinated beef heart).

We decided to order an appetizer and two entrees. We ordered the yucca sampler as our appetizer. The yucca fries and  yucca croquettes were warm and crisp and came with two sauces - rocoto and huancaina (one creamy, one spicy).

For our entrees we ordered arroz chaufa (fried rice), reflecting the Asian influence on Peruvian food, and Ceviche de Pescado (Peruvian ceviche with red snapper, Peruvian corn, onion, yam, and cancha marinated in spicy citrus), an example of seafood in Peruvian cuisine.

For dessert we ordered the bread pudding. The Senor Aji Bread Pudding is topped with Algarrobina (black carob) and Pisco (Peruvian brandy) sauce. It was warm and delicious.
