Valparaiso Cafe and Roastery is a coffee shop located inside Bitwise South Stadium in downtown Fresno.

Valparaiso Cafe is not your usual coffeehouse. It does have the usual coffee tea and espresso selections, but it also has a Chilean specialty. Valparaiso is named after the port city in Chile. We ordered a Latte and a Cola de Mono. Valparaiso's Cola de Mono is based on a traditional Chilean Christmas punch made with hot coffee, milk, cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, sugar and Aguardiente (a distilled spirit made from grapes). The Valparaiso version is alcohol free.

Valparaiso Cafe and Roastery is accessed either from the door for Mabel's Kitchen or from the lobby of Bitwise Stadium South. It is located at 700 Van Ness Avenue. Valparaiso is open from 7 a.m. unitl 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The majority of customers looked like they work at Bitwise, but there were also people who came in from outside in downtown Fresno.
