Hino Oishi is a Japanese restaurant with teppanyaki tables as well as conventional seating for sushi and other non-teppan food. Teppanyaki is a style of Japanese cooking where a chef cooks on a steel grill in front of the customers. The word teppanyaki is derived from teppan, which means iron plate, and yaki, which means grilled, broiled, or pan-fried.
Hino Oishi is located in Campus Pointe next to Fresno State. Hino Oishi is open Sunday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. until 9:30 pm, and Friday and Saturday until 10:30 p.m.
