The Tree of Life Cafe is a Farm-To-Table restaurant, serving comfort foods from the various ethnic groups that populate the San Joaquin Valley. They hire employees from the programs of the Rescue Mission, Rescue the Children, WestCare California, The Lighthouse for Women, and Salvation Army.
Tree of Life is located at 6640 North Blackstone Avenue in Fresno, just south of Herndon.
The menu includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices.
We ordered a 'flight' of soups, choosing sweet and hot chili, Mexican meatball soup ("albondigas"), and curried creamy black bean soup. We also ordered a fried chicken BLT and an order of garlic fries.
