Boba Silog serves Filipino breakfast plates and boba drinks all day. "Silog" is a combination of two words — sinangag, meaning garlic fried rice, and itlog, meaning egg. To serve something "silog" is to pair it with garlic fried rice and egg. Boba Silog also serves waffles.
Boba Silog is located in northeast Fresno at 1122 East Champlain Drive at the corner of Perrin.
When you order you can choose your eggs any style. We ordered two dishes: bangsilog, a condensation of the words for milkfish (bangus), fried rice (sinangag), and fried egg (itlog) with the eggs in this order cooked over hard; and tapsilog, a condensation of the words “tapa, sinangag at itlog” (tap-si-log) which translates to beef tapa, garlic fried rice, and egg with the eggs sunny side up.
Other choices on the menu include chicksilog (fried chicken), longsilog (filipino pork sausage), tocilog (tocino- Filipino sweet bacon), adobosilog (baby back ribs), cornbeefsilog (corned beef hash), porkchopsilog (pork chop), and spamsilog (bacon flavored spam).
