Open Kitchen
The first thing you notice upon entering Noodle Q is the open kitchen and the machine that makes the fresh noodles.

Noodle and Rice Dish Menu
At one time sushi was on the menu, but it was discontinued so Noodle Q is strictly a noodle house.

We ordered spring rolls and scallion pancakes as appetizers.

Scallion Pancakes
Both appetizers were served hot and were crisp on the outside and soft and warm on the inside.

We also ordered Thai Coffee, strong and slightly sweet. Condensed or evaporated milk must be used as it sinks to the bottom of the glass (see photo below). That milk blends well with the strong coffee. It comes iced.

Thai Coffee
We ordered three noodle dishes. Dan Dan noodles with chicken (spicy), Q style beef noodle soup, and seafood noodle soup.
Dan Dan Noodles with Chicken
Dan Dan Noodles is a traditional Chinese Sichuan dish of spicy noodles. It was good but the spice was muted for American taste. We added some Sriracha sauce. The default noodles are thin, but you can substitute medium or thick noodles to any dish.

Q Style Beef Noodle Soup
There were two beef noodle soups on the menu. The regular one contains steak. The Q style contains tougher more flavorful cuts of beef, listed as shank, brisket and tendon. The broth had the delicious taste of Vietnamese fish sauce. The Q style beef noodle soup was our favorite dish.
Seafood Noodle Soup
The seafood noodle soup comes with either a vegetable broth or a beef broth. We chose the beef broth at the recommendation of our server. The soup contains shrimp, clams, fish, and squid with bok choy and scallions. The tastes are mild.

Table Condiments

The total for two appetizers, three noodle dishes, and Thai coffee was about $40.  Noodle Q is open from 11 AM until 9:30 PM every day.
