The Train Depot Restaurant

The Train Depot Restaurant

The Train Depot is a railroad-themed restaurant serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. The original location of 30 years closed after a fire in 2013. They reopened the same year at their current location at 3045 East Ashlan Avenue at the corner of First in Fresno. The Train Depot is open from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. every day.

We ordered breakfast, but people were also ordering burgers and sandwiches. I ordered eggs with corned beef hash and cottage potatoes. One of my companions ordered oatmeal, which was served with raisins, nuts, and milk, and the other ordered  biscuits with gravy and a side order of beans.

Eggs With Corned Beef Hash and Cottage Potatoes
The hash was crisp and salty as it should be. The over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly. The egg dishes come with either toast, biscuits, or biscuits and gravy.
Water Served in a Mason Jar
Oatmeal
The oatmeal was served with butter on the top and side containers with raisins, nuts, and milk.
Wheat Toast
Biscuits with Gravy
Beans With Cheese
The total check came to $26.51 including tax for three of us. You pay your check at the 'ticket agent booth.'
