Ho Ho Kafe

Ho Ho Kafe

Ho Ho Cafe is an old time Fresno cafe. It has signs outside saying "Chinese Food," "American and Japanese Food," and "Best Breakfast in Town." It is all these things at once.

The four of us arrived at 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday and grabbed the only table. A few minutes later there was a line of people waiting for seats.
Ho Ho Kafe is located 926 F Street in Fresno's historic Chinatown section of downtown. Parking is on the street.
Our Table
Water Served in Mugs
Three of us ordered breakfast and one ordered Chicken Soup.
Scrambled Eggs, Sausage Toast and Hash Browns

Eggs Over Easy, Bacon, Toast, and Hash Browns
Combination Omelette With Meat and Vegetables and Toast

Rice with Gravy Instead of Home Fries
Pancake Side Order
Chicken Soup with Thick Noodles
The soup was hearty and had thick Japanese style noodles. The omelet did not appear to have any cheese but was full of vegetables. The omelet was more like egg foo young and was good. The portions were large, and the check came to $32.29 including tax. Ho HO Kafe does not take credit cards, There is a large "Cash Only" sign under the menu on the wall. The menu has sections for breakfast and an "Oriental Foods Menu."

Don't be put off by the bars on the door. Ho Ho Kafe is open seven day a week from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
