Casa de Tamales creates artisan tamales. The tamales are handmade, the masa (corn dough) made from locally grown corn that is stone ground in Casa de Tamales' own corn mill. The masa recipe was developed by the owner's grandmother in Mexico. They have beef, pork, chicken, vegetarian, vegan, and dessert tamales. They also have tacos and salads.
Casa de Tamales is located in Fresno's Tower District at 609 E. Olive Avenue. They are open Tuesday - Saturday, 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., Monday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (with brunch from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.).

You order at the counter. Later, your food is brought to your table. The tamales are handmade, so you will have a wait before your order comes out. |
