Piemonte's Italian Delicatessen is located in the Tower District of Fresno at 616 East Olive Avenue. Opened in 1929, Piemonte's serves sandwiches and salads and has a large assortment of Italian 'delicacies' (hence the name for these kinds of food companies). You can find Italian cured meats, sausages, cheese, pastas, sauces, pickled vegetables, breads, desserts (such as gelato and nougat) spices and herbs. Piemonte's has a few outdoor tables to eat your sandwich or salad. There is no indoor seating. You order your sandwich or salad at the front counter. Deli items are ordered at the deli case. We ordered a sandwich, salad, some meats and cheeses, taralli crackers (flavored with fennel) to munch on, and an almond nougat (for a sweet opener). Piemonte's is open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday. They are closed on Sunday.
