The River Park Farmers Market has been open on Tuesday evenings since 1999. It is now open on Saturday morning as well. We recently visited the smaller Saturday market and then returned for the much larger Tuesday market. The market features many local farms as well as local food vendors. The hours are Tuesdays: 5 - 9 p.m, and Saturdays: 10am - 2 p.m.
The River Park Farmers Market is operated by The California Fresh Farmers Market Association. They boast that more than 300 different varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables are sold each year.
River Park is a large regional shopping center in north Fresno at the corner of Blackstone Avenue and and Nees Avenue.
We sampled the Mexican corn (with mayonnaise, lime juice, cheese, and chili), tacos, and baked potato.
The market is open year round.
