Simonian Farms

Simonian Farms

Simonian Farms is a farmers' market and tourist attraction located at 2629 South Clovis Avenue at the corner of Jensen Avenue at the southern border of Fresno. Simonian Farms market is located on a family-owned farm operating since 1901. The Simonian family are collectors of antique farm equipment, bicycles, railroad equipment, and oil company signs on display throughout the property. There is a red barn open on weekends where there are wine tastings, a candy store, ice cream, and entertainment for kids. The main building has fruit and dried fruit from the farm, eggs and juice from nearby farms, and many other farm products. There is always a table at the front with samples of fruit to taste.
Of note is one of the more compelling monuments to Japanese-American internment during WW II because the Simonian family was close to Japanese-American farmers in the Valley.
