GG's Food Factory

GG's Food Factory

GG's Food Factory is an Armenian fusion restaurant located at 3139 Kern Street in downtown Fresno. Recently emigrated from Yerevan, Armenia, Tigran Hovhannisyan and his wife Hripsime make many specialties from the Transcaucus region, especially Armenia and its next door nation, Georgia. One of the family's specialties is a Georgian dish, Adjaruli Khachapuri. Homemade bread is shaped into a boat, filled with a cheese blend, and topped with an egg. We ordered one to find it was as good as Adjaruli Khachapuri to be had in Yerevan.

We also ordered Armenian coffee (demitasse), a loaf of that fresh and homemade bread, lahmajoun, a lamb platter, and a chicken shawarma wrap.

GG's also has salads, burgers, and pizza on the menu. You place your order at the counter, and the staff bring the food to your table.

GG's is open Monday through Friday for lunch and dinner. Lunch hours are from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Dinner hours are from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Egg Boat (Adjaruli Khachapuri)

Stir the Egg Into the Warm Cheese (with a fork or break a piece off the end of the egg boat and stir with that).

Dip the Crust and Eat

Armenian Coffee

Warm Fresh Loaf

Lahmajoun (Armenian Meat Pie). The spices were the traditional ones, so this is a dish like the Adjaruli Khachapuri that lets you experience the 'real' cuisine.

Lamb Platter with Salad, Garlic Sauce, Lavash (Flat Bread), and Rice Pilaf

Rice Pilaf Hiding Under the Lavash (again, this rice pilaf made by immigrants from Yerevan is the 'real' thing).

Our lunch for three came to $32.74 including tax.
