Asia Supermarket is located in southeast Fresno at 4818 East Tulare Avenue at the corner of Peach. It is a large store with a large inventory of east and southeast Asian specialties. Asia Supermarket is open from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. seven days a week.
Fresno has the second largest Hmong population in the United States. Hmong people lived in the mountains of Laos, and many sided with the United States during the Vietnam war. Many fled after the war as refugees and eventually settled in Fresno. Southeast Fresno is the heart of the Hmong community.
Inside Asian Supermarket is a hot food counter with seating. We had lunch consisting of whole fried fish, Hmong sausage, chicken, chow mein, egg rolls, and fried bananas.
