J Pot

J Pot

"J Pot Mini Hot Pot and Bar" is a Chinese Hot Pot restaurant. J Pot specializes in mini hot pots, and also has authentic yakitori (a Japanese type of skewered meat), and milk tea (boba).

Hot pot is a Chinese cooking method using a simmering pot of soup stock at the dining table to cook a variety of East Asian ingredients. While the hot pot is kept simmering (with a tiny burner beneath it), ingredients are placed into the pot and cook at the table. The cooked food is usually eaten with a dipping sauce. A mini hot pot is a single serving. The traditional hot pot is for the whole table.

We ordered two hot pots. One was Hai De Pot, a seafood hot pot. The other was named J Pot, a combination of meat, seafood, and noodles served in a spicy broth. We ordered lamb but other meat choices included beef, shrimp, pork or chicken. We also ordered one of their many grilled skewers as an appetizer. We ordered lamb yakitori with the Chinese dry rub with cumin. Other seasoning choices include sweet teriyaki and spicy Korean.
