Imperial Garden is a Chinese Restaurant in north Fresno at 6640 North Blackstone Avenue south of Herndon Avenue. Imperial Garden features a large traditional American Chinese menu as well as Dim Sum with carts on weekends. Imperial Garden also has special items on the menu including French Style lobster (stir fried in shell) and Peking duck.We arrived after noon, and the place was busy with adults and families.
We ordered two entrees off the menu and a large hot and sour soup. Our first dish was honey walnut shrimp, with shrimp and walnut pieces glazed with a sweet tart coating and pieces of pineapple. The second dish was mu shu pork. Mu shu pork has been popular in American Chinese restaurants since the 1960s. It is pork, mushrooms, vegetables, and egg wrapped in a thin pancake with sweet hoisin sauce added. Our mu shu pork came already wrapped unlike many restaurants where you wrap it yourself.
Imperial Garden is open Monday - Thursday from 11am - 9pm, Friday and Saturday from 11am - 9:30pm, and Sunday from 11am - 9pm. Imperial Garden is open every day including Christmas.
